Mastering the art of the scissor cut, close shave, hair colouring and blow-waving, consulting with clients about hairstyles, recommending solutions for hair and scalp problems, managing banking and bookkeeping tasks. Wintec provides relevant and practical skills that will open doors for you in the world of hairdressing.

Careers

As a Hairdresser you'll consult with clients about the style or cut they want. You'll wash, cut, colour and blow wave clients' hair. Advise on products and treatments for hair and scalp. Clean and sanitise equipment. Your day may include doing the banking, helping train other staff members and preparing for industry competitions.

Scheduling & Workload


Actual timetables will be provided closer to your start date (as this is dependent on what stream you will be  placed in). As a general guideline the expectation is that you will be required to be at Wintec up to four days per week,  Monday - Thursday, with one late night per week. Fridays are to be spent in self-directed study or in work placement.
