"Enjoying my Bachelor in Teaching studies, I continued straight into the Postgrad Certificate in Innovation, and am now completing the Master of Applied Innovation. I want to take my postgraduate and master’s studies and apply the additional skills and knowledge I am gaining to help solve real-world problems within an early childhood education context."

What employers are saying

“Gallagher typically employs engineers and project managers with a strong technical background in one particular engineering discipline. Although deep technical expertise in a particular engineering discipline is imperative, most of these specialists have insufficient capabilities to effectively work across a wide range of technical and non-technical disciplines. We see opportunities to benefit from it, as a professional development option for Gallagher staff so they are able to work more effectively across a wide range of disciplines and for students working on Gallagher projects. “ - Rob Heebink, Research and Development Executive, Gallagher Group Limited.

Career/further opportunities

There are growing career opportunities for professional workplace-based innovators, applied researchers and change leaders. Students will advance skills and expertise highly valued in a workplace or research environment and will be able to research and develop projects, and lead change initiatives in a business environment.

Graduates will be able to use this qualification for their professional development and to develop the skills required to undertake new roles within a business or other enterprise group.

Graduates may choose to progress to doctoral study at New Zealand and overseas institutions.
