Programme Regulations

These regulations should be read in conjunction with the Institute’s Academic Regulations, clause 2 General Programme Regulations.

Schedule of Modules

To be awarded the New Zealand Diploma in Engineering (Mechanical), a candidate must successfully complete the required 240 credits and meet the following requirements:

  • All common compulsory modules must be passed;
  • All mechanical discipline compulsory modules must be passed;
  • Compulsory modules for one specialisation must be passed;
  • The remainder credits are taken from the elective modules that align with the chosen specialisation.
