Midwifery

You will be the go-to for women during pregnancy, labour, birth and for several weeks after. You will provide support and advice during one of the biggest milestones in a woman’s life. As a midwife your days will be spent educating women on pregnancy, birth and parenting, organising and discussing ultrasounds and blood tests, referring to other specialists when necessary, prescribing medication for labour, examining and caring for newborn babies and advising on breastfeeding, immunisations, contraception and general mother and baby health. This whānau-friendly event is a great opportunity to explore your career interests and pathway options, and learn about what our subjects and courses can offer you.

You will get to meet our academic staff, learn about our support services, and become familiar with our campus facilities. We will have our graduate, postgraduate, and master's experts available for those looking at higher-level study options and further career specialisations. Our Student Enrolment team will also be there to give application guidance, and we can even get you enrolled on the day.
