About

Tēnā koutou.

My name is Sasha and I am a Kaiāwhina with Te Kete Kōnae and a part of the Student Experience team here at Wintec. I work at both Rotokauri and City Campuses based in Kirikriroa (Hamilton).

As a Kaiāwhina, I am here to support you (tauira/student) in your study journey in a non-academic and pastoral capacity. This includes emotional, budgeting, financial, and accommodation support to name a few. These can be just some of the barriers that you may face during your time as a student and my focus is to ensure that you are supported throughout to prevent these hurdles from impacting you and your studies, as much a possible.

Having been a recent (and current) adult student myself, I can easily empathise with some of the curveballs that life can throw as you persevere and take steps towards your future career goals. These experiences can often be challenging but know that I am just ONE of an awesome bunch of Kaiāwhina who would be more than willing to encourage and assist you on this path.

I am currently based at the Rotokauri Campus (Q Block/Sport Science Department) on Monday's 8am-4pm and at the City Campus (Te Kete Kōnae office) on Friday's 8am-4pm.

If you would like to make a time to meet with me please don't hesitate to send me an email and I will get back to you, or feel free to drop in at either location to come and have a kōrero with me.

I look forward to seeing you around campus.
