Kia ora everyone, my name is Moroni Peneha, and I am an Academic Learning Advisor within the Student Learning Services (SLS).
Our role as Learning Advisors is to provide you with any academic support you may need, be it time management skills, note-taking techniques, or academic level writing.

You can find us in the SLS office, located in the Hub, or in learning sessions throughout campus. Please feel free to stop by and ask us anything academic. If we aren’t the right people to answer your question, we’ll let you know who is.

Throughout my life, I have learned for myself that true happiness comes from helping others. Therefore, in all of my career pursuits, I have always strived to be in a position where I could help someone, where I could motivate someone, where I could make a difference in someone’s life. As such, I’m really excited to get to know you all and help you on your journey.

In my previous work, I was an English Teacher within a Kura Kaupapa Maaori; I completed my studies through the University of Waikato and am currently studying Real Estate.
