Joseph Ross

Kia ora everyone, and welcome to Wintec! I am an Academic Learning Advisor in Student Learning Services (SLS). My name is Joseph Ross and I am based at the Rotokauri campus.

My role is to support students with learning the maths and physics skills they need in their studies. I mostly work with students from Engineering but also work with students from Trades and Animal Technology, although I’m available to help students studying other subjects who need help with their maths.

I work with students both in class and out of class (please feel free to make an appointment). I’m also involved in teaching two modules in the Diploma of Engineering (Engineering Mathematics and Engineering Fundamentals).

When not working, I like to read a good book, usually non-fiction although I do read fiction occasionally. I also like watching documentaries about the sciences and I love cricket.
