-Veterinary Nursing Code of professional conduct
-Application of practical skills from theory topics, including: bandaging and wound care, anaesthetic monitoring, diagnostic imaging, laboratory diagnostics, theatre practice and management of sterile supply, surgical assistance
-120 hours work placement, including Wintec surgery rotations
-Professional practice attributes: Compliance with workplace health and safety requirements; knowledge of relevant legislation and animal welfare standards; sustainable practice; effective communication skills; professional and ethical behaviour; cultural recognition and sensitivity; teamwork; accurate record-keeping. - Teaching and Learning Strategy
- Learning will be facilitated using a range of teaching and learning methods, which will predominately be a combination of work placement and work experience. It may also include: tutor facilitated and directed presentations and/or lectures, practical or workshop sessions and activities, guest speakers from industry, demonstrations, online learning activities, scenarios and case studies.
