1.Develop a seasonal management plan for an amenity site in accordance with organisational requirements.
Content
?Timing and timeframes for completion of activities to meet objectives, targets, parameters, contractual obligations
?Staff requirements; full time, part time, contract
?Resource requirements; plants, materials, consumables, equipment.
?Practices to ensure environmental sustainability
?Seasonal Management plan including:
oPlanting (plants and/or trees) including plant identifications, selection, and bedding changes where relevant for site
oPlant maintenance, pruning, mowing, fertilizer, irrigation
oPest and disease control, (including IPM) including pest and disease identification, monitoring, control (biological, chemical, cultural)
oWeed control including identification, control. Control methods including a combination of biological, chemical, cultural.
oSoil management, bed preparation, drainage, mulching
oWaste management, collection, mulching, disposal
oAmenity turf management, including establishment, care and maintenance
oHard asset maintenance, including paths and fences.
Assessment Criteria
?Assessment must be conducted in the context of a real or realistic amenity organization of sufficient complexity
?Assessment must be carried out on an amenity site (i.e. park, garden, garden), with a specified use (i.e. aesthetics, establishment of plantings maintenance or plantings, regeneration, revegetation, events; garden tours, weddings)
?Seasonal management plan must cover the full calendar year

The portfolio of evidence will demonstrate the achievement of the required knowledge, competencies and capabilities across all learning outcomes.
