To provide students with the necessary knowledge, attributes and skills to apply, consolidate and expand their learning within an animal care facility, and to work safely and professionally under supervision. Students will undertake 80 hours of work placement in an animal care workplace.

Teaching and Learning Strategy
Learning will facilitated using a range of teaching and learning methods, which will focus on practical application within the workplace.
Assessment Criteria
Assessment in this module is mixed mode. Students must gain a minimum mark of 50% in the achievement-based assessment and meet all requirements of the competency-based assessments to pass this module. The final grade will be based on the marks for the achievement-based assessment task.
