Learning Outcomes:Upon successful completion of this module students will be able to:

1. Create a development plan that details each stage of the development process for a
multimedia application

2 Develop a comprehensive design strategy for a multimedia application, implement and test
it:
- Examine the field of usability and accessibility and their relationship to multimedia testing
- Incorporate instructional and/or interaction design principles within an application

3. Create and program interactive multimedia applications using non-web technology:
- Discuss and evaluate types of non-web multimedia
- Examine a non-web multimedia authoring tool

4. Create and program interactive multimedia websites that employ advanced client and
server side scripting techniques:
- Examine advanced multimedia scripting techniques
- Discuss interactive multimedia website features

5. Assess concepts and theory behind 3D/virtual reality environments:
- Examine concepts behind 3D/virtual reality and their application, such as:
- object construction
- lighting, colour, texture mapping
- 3D animation
- Interaction methods within 3D environments

6. Examine new developments within the field of multimedia:
- Research and discuss emerging multimedia issues and/or technologies
