Prescription
The purpose of this module is to provide the student with both theoretical knowledge and practical laboratory experience in organic chemistry starting with the classification and naming of organic compounds, followed by their physical properties and chemical transformations. Special emphasis is also placed on the importance of industrial processes involving organic compounds as well as the essential nutritional compounds, carbohydrates, lipids, proteins and enzymes.
