- 1) Students individually or within a team, will identify a business problem and write a project
proposal for the research of possible solutions.
Key elements
a) A problem from one of the following:
- resourcing
- motivation
- organisational structure/restructure
- culture
- systemic change
- business process re-engineering
- other
b) The project proposal will include:
- problem identification with rationale
- project plan including scope, resources and problem solving model to be used
- research methods and process
2) Students individually or as a team, will report on the application of management concepts in
recommending solutions to an identified business problem.

- systemic change
- business process re-engineering

b) The report will detail:
- the problem
- analysis of data
- evaluation including consequences of possible solutions
- rationale for final recommendation/s
c) The report content will evidence management concepts applied, including but not
limited to:
- planning
- control
- leadership
- organisation
d) The report will be suitable for presentation to senior management
3) Students individually will critically review the completed project process and research
outcomes of the completed project.
