This module introduces the student to a variety of compositional techniques used in creation of commercial instrumental music. The student will analyse and practice formal and developmental procedures along with standard orchestration techniques. The student will extend their harmonic and melodic vocabularies whilst applying a variety of harmonic and melodic solutions to compositional problems.
