2.1 Understand a process which advances the structured and reflective refinement of a Moving Image project
- employ a vocabulary for describing work
- discuss, identify and evaluate issues presented in class material
- complete self-directed research and reflect upon working processes
- demonstrate the structured resolution of a process through the generation, regeneration, manipulation and refinement of ideas
- discuss with peers and tutors the individual working process adopted
- show evidence of independent and interdependent processes for working
- integrate skills and knowledge from previous and concurrent course

2.2 Understand the technical aspects of advanced image recording
- explore and control high definition camera techniques
- experiment with the control of exposures to obtain various effects
- conduct practical exercises of image control and manipulation
- discuss the theories and function of camera mounting equipment
- demonstrate an understanding of
- experiment with depth of field and lens distortion and delineated images
- generate and regenerate images from ideas developed.

2.3Recognise the theories and practice of post producing multi-layered sound
- examine principles and practices of the reasons behind sound engineering for moving image
- test and control the recording of 3 dimensional sounds
- design and apply post-produced audio to a practical project
- apply theories on different formats of sound recording to a practical project

2.4Comprehend the technical aspects of advanced lighting for Moving Image.
- research the various luminants which are used in the industry
- identify, discuss and test a range of methods of illumination the problems behind mixed illuminated scenes
- explore/test the methods of manipulating advanced illumination
- explore/test non-text book lighting situations
- test the recording of images with minimal illumination
- demonstrate skills to be able to pre-plan luminants required for multi illuminated scenes.

2.5Develop an understanding of technical aspects of digital post-production
- control non-linear editing
- discuss digital format acquirement for edit processes with an emphasis on production and post-production work flow
- examine non linear postproduction in related industries.

2.6Acquire knowledge of ethical and production issues of the documentary shoot
- consider subject exploitation versus clear and justifiable purpose
- use appropriate interview technique/procedure
- plan and direct the operations of small crews
- negotiate with participants/interviewees in taking part documentary production.
- discuss/test the impact that the presence of film crews can have on filming situations and the personal space of participants

- make appropriate technical choices to the rendering of forms

Basic of Assessment
Each assignment will revolve around a definitive brief and assessment will include group / individual planning, execution and close analysis of the deployment of technical crafts.
Purpose of the assessment is to evaluate students technical understanding and developmental processes. Assessing their ability to apply this understanding within a collaborative environment.
