This module aims to give a practical understanding of the technical skills and knowledge required to begin producing moving image and sound. The student will develop an understanding of the fundamental technical processes and skills relevant to documentary practice.

Content: 3.1 Initial explanation of structure and processes

3.2 Lighting workshops / practical exercises

Each unit will comprise of assignment-led tutorials and technical workshops in the moving image modes relevant to narrative, documentary, and video skills. The students ability to collaborate and cooperate with peers and tutors is forefronted in all class activity and assignments.
Basic of Assessment: Purpose of the assessment is to evaluate students technical understanding and its application to a major assignment.
Students must pass all assignments to pass the course.
