Prescription
The purpose of this module is to introduce the student to the foundations of music. The student will develop the ability to interpret their own work in relation to harmony, theory and ear training. The fundamentals of music will be addressed in a variety of historical and cultural contexts and the student will undertake practical assignments in which technical and aesthetic musical problems will be responded to and artistic ideas will be systematically explored, tested and developed.
