1. Select and apply appropriate software applications to produce complex business
documents that are fit for purpose and meet stakeholder expectations.

2. Work independently and show initiative in the production of complex business documents.

relationships with internal and external stakeholders
Content
- Word, Publisher, Excel - advanced features and functions of relevant software
- Shared documents, long documents, documents with multiple interrelated components
- Relevant legislation, internal and external policies, standards and guidelines; sustainable
practices (environmental, social); records management
- Working independently and as part of a team; effective and appropriate communication
skills; understanding stakeholder needs
- Professional practice attributes including cultural awareness and sensitivity, professional and
ethical behaviours, interpersonal skills, personal presentation, time-management,
responsibility, reliability, accuracy.
Teaching and Learning Strategy
Teaching methods may include theoretical and practical classes including lectures, group work, online activities, workshops, simulation, case studies, projects and guest speakers.
Assessment Criteria
Assessment in this module is achievement based. The portfolio is comprised of multiple components. To pass the module, students must attempt any specific assessment components as specified by the Course Outline and must achieve a minimum 50% overall to pass the module.
Learning and Teaching Resource
Simulated office
Microsoft Office suite of applications.
Students will be directed to relevant and up-to-date articles and online resources as appropriate.
