Develop design solutions for a given project using BIM modelling tools
Produce construction documentation within a BIM environment
Content
May include, but not limited to, an appropriate selection from the following topics:
Principles of building information modelling: overview of building information modelling - including compilation, maintenance and use of BIM data; risks/opportunities/constraints; design solutions; whole life and capital costs; value proposition; investment and return.
Development of design solutions: organisational and project applications - including stakeholder requirements, sustainable design solutions, historic and heritage assets, health and safety. Project design recommendations and agreement. Modelling.
Production of Construction documentation: Produce drawings, schedules from a model. Content -location, assembly, component, schedules, specifications.
Teaching and Learning Strategy
Learning activities for topics may typically include practical/workshop, case studies lectures, tutorials, field trips, group work, visiting specialists, computer simulations, web technologies, and self-directed learning.

A portfolio is a compilation of evidence presented by the student in ways that demonstrate their acquired knowledge, competencies and capabilities. The contents of students' portfolios may typically include evidence of achievement from assignments, projects, tests, exams, formative assessments, and peer assessments, self and group assessments.
