We are calling all second year or higher independent Kiwi students who enjoy a challenge, have great interpersonal skills, and would like to increase their cultural awareness through student exchange.​

Applications close 30th September & 30th March.

Student Exchange

  • For standard Wintec tuition fees, you’ll get to experience living and studying in another country while earning credit towards your Wintec qualification
  • Scholarships are available and you’ll continue to receive StudyLink loans & allowances.

How To Apply

  1. Inform Wintec Exchange Coordinator Aubrey Medwid about your interest, include name, student ID and programme.

  2. Research which country/institute best suits your study goals.

  3. Visit Student Exchange Coordinator and complete a Student Exchange Application

  4. You will then be nominated to our partner institute and they will send you further enrolment information for your study abroad institute.

6 Media Arts Students Head to China

Six Waikato Institute of Technology Media Arts students are heading to China in September after being awarded the prestigious Prime Minister’s Scholarship for Asia. The students and will spend five months at Chengdu University from September where they’ll study Media Arts and Chinese Language. Credits will be transferred back to our programmes of study at Wintec.
