We integrate existing tools and algorithms in a simple-to-use process so companies can easily get value from their data.
We offer services for you to solve problems or improve business performance, through the analysis of data.
What we offer
Services on offer include (but are not limited to) consulting about how to use data for improving business process performance. Improvement could be achieved by using any type of data-related approach, such as Process Mining or Six Sigma.
Process mining is a family of techniques in the field of process management that support the analysis of business processes based on event logs. During process mining, specialized data mining algorithms are applied to event log data in order to identify trends, patterns and details contained in event logs recorded by an information system. Process mining aims to improve process efficiency and understanding of processes. Process mining is also known as Automated Business Process Discovery (ABPD).
Six Sigma (6σ) is a set of techniques and tools for process improvement. A six sigma process is one in which 99.99966% of all opportunities to produce some feature of a part are statistically expected to be free of defects. Six Sigma strategies seek to improve the quality of the output of a process by identifying and removing the causes of defects and minimizing variability in manufacturing and business processes.
Arthur Valle is a Senior Academic Staff Member in the Centre for Information Technology at Wintec (Waikato Institute of Technology), where he is also the IT Research Leader. Arthur has a PhD in Production and System Engineering from Pontifical Catholic University of Parana (PUCPR) in Brazil. As his thesis, he developed a method for applying Process Mining techniques in software process assessments. Arthur has industry and academic background in topics such as Lean Six Sigma; Continuous Improvement; Business Process Management; Software Development; Quality Management; Operations Management; Performance Measurement, Project Management; Service Management and Strategy. As a former senior IT consultant for the last 18 years, Arthur had been involved in 15+ successful CMMI-based improvement programs in Brazil and abroad. Ayesha Hakim has a PhD in Computer Science with specialisation in Human Computer Interaction from Massey University, New Zealand. She joined Massey University as IT Support Specialist for Massey Genome Services and then Bahauddin Zakarya University, Pakistan as Assistant Professor at the Institute of Computing. She moved to the University of Auckland as Research Specialist. She is currently a lecturer at Wintec (Waikato Institute of Technology). Her research interests include machine learning, affective computing, human-computer interaction, web application development, and context-aware systems. She got expertise in research, analysis, & visualisation of various forms of data using latest machine learning techniques. Currently, she is working on developing computational models to enable machines recognise and understand human emotions. She is also working on developing computational tools to automatically classify and visualise bird sounds in order to recognise different bird species in the wild. Monjur Ahmed is a lecturer at Centre for Information Technology (CIT), Waikato Institute of Technology (Wintec), New Zealand. He holds BSc (Hons) in Computing and Information Systems from London Metropolitan University (UK), MS in Telecommunications from University of Information Technology & Sciences (Bangladesh), MSc in Electronics and Communications Engineering from University of Greenwich (UK), and PhD from Auckland University of Technology, New Zealand. His doctoral research was on a distributed and decentralised security model for Cloud Computing. Monjur is an active researcher. Monjur’s research interests are in IT/IS security focusing on both technological and human aspects, mainly in contemporary computing approaches (e.g. Cloud Computing, IoT, and Big Data). Monjur has over 10 years of teaching experiences in New Zealand, United Kingdom, China and Bangladesh. Monjur has a continuing research track record through research publications. Prashant Khanna is a Academic Staff Member at Wintec (Waikato Institute of Technology) and is teaching subjects in Cyber Security, Cyber Risk Management and Big Data. His recent research interests are in pedagogy of tertiary learning while using Data to make tertiary learning more effective. He is also exploring the world of crypto currencies and looking at practical implementation of Blockchains in support of an open society. His current research work is in creating a low cost, energy efficient crypto mining grid. He is a PhD in Computer Science which was focused on observing cascade failures in cloud services and using efficient cloud brokering mechanisms to mitigate the risks in federated clouds. Reza Rafeh is a is a Senior Academic Staff Member in the Centre for Business, IT and Enterprise at Wintec (Waikato Institute of Technology). Reza has a PhD from Monash University, Australia majoring in computer science. He has been working as a senior lecturer at Arak University for seventeen years. Reza joined Auckland University of Technology (AUT) on February 2015 as a visiting researcher. He joined Wintec in July 2015. In addition to teaching many computer courses, Reza has been involved in many research activities and supervising many master and PhD students. Reza is an editorial member and reviewer of several reputable journals. He has been leading several industry driven research projects. His research area includes: Optimization and Computational Intelligence, Big Data and Analytics, Health Informatics, Recommender Systems, and Wireless Sensor Networks.
