Bachelor of Nursing

I started studying the Bachelor of Nursing for registered nurses programme at the Waikato Institute of Technology in 2002 and completed it in 2003. I am currently undertaking extra nursing papers to enable me to sit for the final state examination.

Studying nursing has opened up a lot of opportunities for me to help sick people as well as provided me with a positive future job prospect. Nursing is a highly demanded profession all over the world as there is always shortage of nurses. I would like to encourage individuals who are studying nursing to work hard and be committed to your studies because it will pay off in the end.

For those of you who are considering taking up nursing courses in the future, it is an intense 3 years of studying and training but if the past nursing students had done it I believe you can do it too.

There are support services available at the Wintec to help you go through the nursing programme or what ever programme you are planning to undertake. I wish you well in your learning journey until you reach your destination.

I also wish to thank all the Wintec staff who helped me during my three years studying for my degree. It has been quite an exciting challenging and a great learning experience for me. I do appreciate every supports and assistances that were given to me and my family during the time that I study at Wintec. Thank you very much for all the contributions made towards my study at Wintec.
