How to make money from your creativity? It’s a common question when building a creative career. With today’s access to an array of digital tools, from social media and crowdfunding platforms to developing a web-presence, it’s often hard to know where to start.

That's where New Zealand based musician and creative entrepreneur Charlie Wallace of Guitar Mastery Method comes in. With a passion for guitar and the musical cred to back it up, the young creative took his skills online and built a six-figure business, helping people all over the world learn to play guitar. From struggling to pay the rent he now has a flourishing and sustainable business.  In 2017 alone, he grew the company 1,000% from $150k to $1.5M a year.

Charlie has since played on stages all over the world and has worked with legendary producer Michael Wagener (Ozzy, Metallica, Mötley Crüe) on Black Smoke Trigger's debut EP (released in November). We're thrilled that he will be on campus to present a Ramp Talk and Workshop that will reveal how to harness your creative passion and grow a sustainable online business - fast!

Ramp Workshop: 12.00 pm - 2.00 pm

A workshop will follow this talk after a short break and will be based on the audience response to Charlie's talk, alongside questions prepared by students earlier in their classes.

Preference is given to Wintec students for the workshop, however, we anticipate there will be a few openings and we would love to offer them to members of our creative community.

Not from Wintec? Click here: https://bit.ly/2kY2OlS to go on the workshop waitlist and we'll let you know if we have a spot for you.
