What do you enjoy about teaching/your job?

Being an artist who teaches means I can enjoy the privileges that come with working within a lively and challenging learning environment alongside inspiring and creative people.

What do you love about your area?

I love the freedom that being an artist allows.

Tell us about your experience in the industry

As a practising artist I am interested in culture/nature relations, technological sensing and mediation - particularly elemental processes that are the limit of our sensing capacities.

I work with a variety of media, exploring the visualisation of complex systems through experimentation with new techniques for generating, distributing and presenting images.

My current research explores such imagery, speaking to a problem articulated by recent thinking around the Anthropocene: that the expanded spatial and temporal scales of geology exceed human comprehension, and thereby present major challenges to representational systems.

What keeps you busy outside of Media Arts?

Travelling the world and meeting new people.
