What do you enjoy about teaching/your job?

I enjoy working with people to share their passion for nature and growing beautiful gardens for the enjoyment of many. I enjoy facilitating ākonga to learn more about the rich world of horticulture.

What do you love about your area?

Being outside and celebrating the diversity of our natural world, its colours, textures and variety. Feeling a strong connection to Papatūānuku.

Tell us about your experience in the industry

I have worked in horticulture since I was a university student at Canterbury of University, and it was my summer job. I moved to Auckland to follow this as a career and have worked mainly in garden maintenance, retail garden centres and wholesale nurseries. I had experience managing others in these roles as well as customer service and marketing, including websites and publications.
