- Fabrication Principles:
- Fabrication machinery and components.
- Fabrication materials and processes
- Hazards
Fabrication Operations:
- Demonstrate introductory knowledge of fabrication processes.
- Metal selection, layout, marking, cutting, bending, forming, assembly.
- Cutting, bending, and joining allowances.
- Fabrication of simple objects.
- Simple regular transitions.
- Thermal cutting
- Correct use of portable hand held power tools
- Correct selection and use of hand tools
- Maintenance - Assessment Criteria
- This course is assessed using competency assessment. Aakonga must complete and submit all summative assessments in order to pass and receive credit for this course. The listed unit standards are optional and are not required to pass this course.
