Careers at Wintec | Te Pūkenga

Whakairohia he toki, tāraia te anamata | Learning with purpose, creating our futures

At Wintec | Te Pūkenga, we are creating a culture of lifelong learning in a world that is changing faster than ever.

Based in Hamilton, we deliver high-quality vocational education to approximately 13,000 ākonga (learners) every year, who study more than 130 courses across many fields from certificate to degree, postgraduate and master's level.

Our kaimahi (staff) are employed for their experience, knowledge, and ability to guide ākonga on their journey. We operate in a flexible environment where we navigate change together through communication, collaboration and understanding.

Creating a future for Aotearoa, New Zealand, through learning with purpose, we are committed to Māori and Te Tiriti partnerships and prioritise improving equitable outcomes for our Māori, Pacific, and disabled ākonga.

Join our team and help build the future of vocational education.
This short video, The Future is Now (1 min), will give you an insight into how we work:

Teaching

Consider teaching at Wintec and find that magic place where you’re not just in education or industry but in both so that you bring about community development for our region. We’ve expanded our international focus to include off-shore delivery as many countries are experiencing a shortage of skilled workers across several industries.

Leadership

At Wintec you can build and direct multidisciplinary teams and use strong planning skills to achieve agreed business objectives. Make informed and sound decisions that enhance the success of the organisation, inspiring others as a role model by motivating shared purpose, vision and values and learning from mistakes in a ‘no blame’ culture.
