The exciting world of amenity horticulture allows opportunities to shape the future of green spaces, create vibrant city gardens, breathe life into parks, and craft eco-friendly landscapes, as well as focus on innovative, sustainable approaches where your efforts can make a change to the well-being of people, communities, and the planet.

Our amenity horticulture programmes allow you to progress from fundamental skills, theory, and knowledge to advanced horticulture practices that can see you as a qualified team leader in an amenity garden environment.

You will benefit from learning at the beautiful Hamilton Gardens Campus, an award-winning public garden and one of Waikato’s most popular visitor attractions with an incredible variety of trees, plants and grasses. You will learn from and work alongside our professional gardening team to make a tangible difference in the world around you.
